The Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Mohammed Fneish, with the participation of the Head of the EU Mission, Ambassador Patrick Laurent, laid the corner stone of the solid waste sorting facilities in the union of Municipalities of Fayhaa and Meshmesh. These facilities comes in the context of the implementation of the European grant entrusted to the Ministry of Administrative Reform in all regions; it is also part of the comprehensive national plan for solid waste management in Lebanon.
The implementation of Al-Fayhaa facility, costing about a million and 190 thousand euros, will be completed over 15 months. It is expected that the amount of waste of the Union cities will reach 300 tons per day while Meshmesh facility will serve up to 15 thousand people. .
