ICT Training for Ministries’ and Public Agencies’ Employees: Phase I and Phase II

Scope :  
The scope of the requested services for this project is as follows:
  • Certified ICT training of government staff (as end users and advanced users) based on a defined and agreed methodology.
  • Development and provision of training material.
  • Issuance of training certificates for all those who completed their training course(s).

And to properly manage and coordinate the activities of this project, in addition to keeping records of the trainees and the courses they took, OMSAR developed internally a database application to be shared with the training organization during the implementation of the training project.
In its endeavor to bridge the digital divide between Lebanon and the advanced countries and become a member of the knowledge society, OMSAR has put together a major, two phased, ICT training plan that has the following main objectives:
  • Ensure computer literacy for all civil servants who have (or potentially have) access to computers.
  • Provide quality technical systems and hardware administration and support within each ministry and agency.
  • Upgrade and maintain the skills of previously trained civil servants to facilitate the sustainability of current and future implemented ICT systems in the administration.
  • Demonstrate the potential improvement of job efficiency and productivity within the workplace.
