The Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform launched the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (LEAMS) project in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation.
The objective of such agreement is to provide government entities with special pricing and discounts on the latest Microsoft products and solutions. The agreement hopes to cover the needs of Government entities in terms of software such as Line of Business (LOB) products, desktop PC licenses and Windows and Office upgrades. It also offers various services such as training, consultancy, helpdesk and Personnel support. The products and services ordered through the Enterprise agreement are covered for a period of 3 years.
Other products and services include PC products (Professional Desktop (windows/office/CoreCal), Windows Vista Business, Core CAL Client Access License, Project Professional …), server products (Windows Server Standard, Windows Server Enterprise, SQL Server Standard Edition, SQL Server Enterprise Edition …), and extra services (Microsoft Premier Standard 0-Support Agreement, Consultancy Services MS, Microsoft Premier Standard, and Deployment Resources). Each entity has two choices. It can either have Its own enrollment (under OMSAR’s contract), where it can benefit from the contract discount and highest level pricing as well as from OMSAR’s help desk support or be part of OMSAR’s enrollment, where it can benefit from the above services as well as from several extra services.
