Reinventing Government 2030

On September 1st, from the Presidential Palace, we officially launched Reinventing Government 2030 — Lebanon’s most comprehensive public sector reform in 65 years. 

This initiative aims to modernize state institutions, rebuild trust between the state and its citizens, and lay the foundations for a new social contract built on transparency, innovation, and digital transformation. 

The reform journey will unfold in three phases: 1. Listening to stakeholders across society — citizens, youth, diaspora, public servants, municipalities, and civil society — to understand aspirations and priorities. 2. Designing the blueprint for restructuring and modernization of ministries and public institutions. 3. Full-scale implementation through 2030, building a digital, agile, and citizen-centered administration. 

This ambitious endeavor is strengthened by the support of our strategic partners like AUB, USJ, Lebanese University, TPI, TI-Lebanon, as well as international donors, including the United Nations, the Kingdom of Norway, the European Union and its member states, and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development. Their collaboration ensures that this reform journey is grounded in shared values of good governance, transparency, and sustainable development. 

Under the leadership of President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, we are writing a new chapter in Lebanon’s history — one of accountability, efficiency, and service to the citizens.
